Filter View: Editing Student Information

Edit Student Information in the Filter View

This guide provides a step-by-step process for editing student information in the Filter View.

Alert: Please note that this feature must be "turned on" for staff to have access to it. It also follows current permissions that are already set for modules/sections. If "Edit Student List View Information" is turned on but the user does not have permission to edit a specific module/section, it will not allow them to edit the information in the Filter View.

Allowing Access to Edit Student Information in the Filter View Through Permissions

1. To turn this new feature on, click on your initials in the top right corner.

2. Click "Settings"

3. Click "Permissions"

4. Find "Student Filter View"

5. This new feature is called "Edit Student List View Information". Check the box in the column of the groups you would like to have access to this feature.

6. Once complete, click "Save" at the top.

Adding Information to the Student's Profile Using the Filter View

Tip: Editing in the Filter View is available for: Learning Plans & Learning Needs, Accommodations, Plan Information, and Strategies filters.

7. Find the Saved View that you would like to edit or filter by the appropriate sections by using the "Plan Information" dropdown filter. Hover over the box that you need to edit and click on the edit pencil.

8. Click this text field and add the information.

9. Click "Save" when finished.

10. You can also add Learning Plans and/or Classifications to a student by following the same process.

11. A popup will appear to choose from the list of Learning Plans as well as Classifications. Click "Save" when complete.

12. Note: If you try to edit a box for a section that is not part of the student's learning plan, this popup will appear.
