Viewing Data in Insights Dashboard

Insights provides administrators and other authorized users with a centralized view of Insights-wide data. Use filters, customize your view with Data Collection Hub data, save views, and drill down into graphs for more detailed insights.

Accessing Insights Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Insights in the top bar 
    1. NOTE: If you do not see it, please go to Permissions to make sure you have access to Insights
  2. The dashboard will load population-wide data based on your caseload



Customize Insights

Use the filters at the top of Insights to narrow your data.

Available filters include:

  • School (if there are multiple sites)
  • Class/Group
  • Teacher

Selecting a filter automatically updates Insights visualizations.



Review Insights

Insights automatically displays key metrics, including:

  • Top 5 Learning Plans
  • Goal Progress
  • Top 10 IDEA Classifications
  • Top 10 Strategies
  • Top 10 Accommodations

These charts provide a quick overview of trends across your Insights.


Add Data Collection Hub Data

Further customize Insights by incorporating data from Data Collection Hub form submissions.

  1. Click on the Config button in the top right corner
  2. Choose a form from the drop down
  3. Select the questions that you would like to appear in Insights
  4. Click Save when finished

Adding question data allows you to monitor responses and student progress directly from Insights


Expand Insights Graphs

 Standardized Graphs

Select any standardized graphs (Learning Plans, Goal Progress, IDEA Classifications, Strategies, Accommodations) to expand it and view the students represented in that chart.

1. Click on the arrow in the circle in the top right corner of the graph

2. Click on the graph for a list of names of students who fall into that category


Data Collection Hub Form Graphs

Once Data Collection Hub forms have been added to Insights, you can expand a graph to view the students, their responses, and the submission date associated with the selected data.

  1. Click the Expand icon in the upper-right corner of the graph. Or, click anywhere on the graph to open the detailed pop-up.
  2. Filter by Students and Month of submission.
  3. Review the list of students, their answers, and the corresponding submission dates.


This makes it easy to move from Insights-level trends to individual student information.

Save a View

After configuring filters:

  1. Select Save in the top right corner
  2. Enter a name for your dashboard.
  3. Click Save
  4. To view all saved views, click the dropdown 

Saved views allow you to quickly switch between commonly used configurations.



Frequently Asked Questions

Who can access Insights?

Only users whose Insights has the feature enabled and who have the appropriate permissions.

Can I export dashboard data?

Not yet. Export functionality is planned for a future release.

Can I save multiple views?

Yes. Saved views allow you to quickly switch between different dashboard configurations.

Can I share my views with others?

Not yet. Sharing views similar to the Filter View, is planned for a future release.
