How to Create a Goal and Add Data Tasks

Create a New Goal

Please Note: If your school is currently using data maintenance, any goals that are manually entered will automatically be archived when plans are updated. Here is an article about Custom Goals Being Archived. Please reach out to your CSM or help@educationmodified.com with any further questions.

To create a new goal click "Add New Goal"

Type in your goal in the text box. You may also select a category, or, choose "other" and type in your own Goal Category. Then click "Save".

Once you click into a goal you can record your evaluation data in the "data tasks" tab.

Create a Data Task

To create a new data task click "add new"

Measure your data

The data task will automatically try to populate how you are measuring success for this goal.  If this does not match how you would like to measure data for this evaluation you can choose an alternate measurement.  In addition to our pre-populated suggestions you are able to create custom measurements using "other", select notes only, or no data collected.

You are then ready to record your student's performance! Be sure to click "save" once you are finished recording your data.

Add Notes

If you have any notes for your data task you can click "Add Notes" and a text box will appear for you to free type any notes. Be sure to click "save" once you are finished recording your data.

Add Documents

To add documents to a data task click "Add Documents".  You can upload all standard file formats or live links by adding the URL.  Be sure to click "save" once you are finished uploading your documents.

Change the Date

The date will automatically populate to today, but if you are recording data for a previous date you can click the calendar icon to update the date of evaluation.

Edit/Delete a Data Task

To edit or delete a data task click the (...) button at the top right of the data task you would like updated.

To return to the goals list click "goal list" in the top right corner of the screen.
