Release 29.7.0 File Field Uploads, Better Document Ordering, and Export Warnings
This release brings important usability updates, including a File Field in Data Collection Hub, giving users the ability to attach screenshots or documents directly while entering data. We’ve also improved document ordering in the student’s Documents section, and added a new export warning message to help set expectations for longer processes.
What’s New
File Field in Data Collection Hub:
When completing forms in the Data Collection Hub, users can now upload supporting files — such as screenshots, notes, or other documents — directly alongside the data they are entering. These files become part of the student’s record for easier reference in the future.
Newest Documents First:
On each student page, documents now appear in reverse chronological order, with the most recent at the top.
Export Warning Message:
A new message will appear to inform users that large exports may take longer to complete.
How to Use It
File Field in Data Collection Hub:
- Go to the Data Collection Hub.
- Open or create a form that includes the new File Field.
- Use the upload option to attach a screenshot, document, or other file directly to your data entry.
Save and submit as usual — the file will be stored with the form entry.
Why It Matters
- File uploads in forms make it easier to provide context and evidence (e.g., student work samples, progress monitoring screenshots, or IEP-related documents).
- Newest-first ordering ensures staff can access the most recent student documents without scrolling.
Export warnings provide clarity for users, reducing confusion when working with larger datasets.
Things to Know
- File uploads are available only in forms that include the new File Field in the Data Collection Hub.
- Click the “Advanced Options” dropdown to select “Allow Multiple Files”
- Student documents are now automatically sorted by newest first.
Export warning messages appear only when a process is expected to take longer than usual.
